My Mother's Day wish was to rip up the section of deck that was raised about a foot from the rest. Kids tripped on the raised section all the time (or fell off it it, lol). It meant our patio table was squashed in the corner, because your space was limited by the raised section. We ripped up the boards on Mother's Day, and stared at dirt mountain. The kids had loads of fun climbing and playing in dirt mountain. We spent all day Saturday shoveling dirt mountain. Seven tractor carts full of dirt mountain, to be specific. It was a bit more than we expected. Today was leveling off the area, and getting the 4x4 pieces level and ready for the decking boards. It's not as easy as it sounds! :o) Tonight we are off to Lowe's for decking boards and few fencing for that area. It won't be stockade fence, it will be a nice black wrought iron style fencing that you can see through. Can't wait to finish!!
