Midlife Crisis - Part II

It's 5:30 in the afternoon. I made it! It was a great learning experience. I took the run out WAY too fast, I was running about a 7 minute mile to start. Too fast of a pace for me to keep up! I ended up walking part of the last mile with the dreaded incline. I wasn't the only one. I think I finished somewhere around 29:00. I just missed 28 minutes, and beat myself up afterward for walking part of it. If I had kept up a slower jog I would have made it. BUT, I did blow past my "goal" of 35 minutes! :o) And I did average a 9.06 mile for the run, pretty respectable for the first time out. Here's pre-race and post-race picture.
