Spring Break!

Although it wasn't great timing with my work (hey, would you mind if I left for a week during our quarter?), they agreed that I most likely did need a break and let me go. We ran for our lives up to Maine and happened to hit the mother load of good weather. It just isn't supposed to be 65 degrees (and warmer) in April in Maine. 50's, maybe. 70? Well, it was just meant to be.

On our way!

We were more than happy to hang around the yard (and blow bubbles off the deck of Grandam's green house).
Ride our bikes through the state park. Pick through rocks at Gleason's Cove.

One of the highlights of our trip - a dead beaver washed up on the shore and the bald eagles happily perched right in the yard! Because they were so close, you could see the feathers around their eyes from the telescope. Amazing stuff.
Not pictured, a really fun trip into St. John, New Brunswick (Canada) for a hockey game. It was an incredibly well behaved crowd (well, we are used to the drunken, rowdy Jersey Devils fans) and a good time was had by all, even if the home team played like crap only scored one goal.

Last, but not least, the end of our trip at Uncle Fred's.
