I'm so happy that good friends of ours bought a trailer this summer - we now have friends to go camping with! It's so much fun to see the kids zoom off for the playground on their bikes... and have little buddies to play with so they aren't fighting with each other! We headed up to Mystic, CT this weekend to see the aquarium. Campground was nice - sites were big which is always a bonus. The aquarium was great - except that Morgan broke out into hives right after the sea-ray touch tank and they haven't gone away yet. We tried to find a lighthouse, and failed. We did stop at the US Submarine Force museum and we toured the USS Nautilus. Pretty cool stuff! My biggest disappointment today was when we stopped at the Seaport on the way home - we figured the kids could see the ships, we could grab a quick lunch then head home. We found great parking (always a challenge with a 35' trailer on your back), walked up to the seaport.... only to discover they CHARGE ADMISSION. To the tune of $20 per adult. Yes, you can't even get in to see the Seaport unless you pay admission. We only had an hour tops so it wasn't worth forking over $70+ to see the ships. Grrrr.... At least we had great weather and the kids had a great time!

Dylan the future.... well, what does a kid who loves Army camo and fire fighting helmets grow up to be? A dude who knows how to have fun by the campfire.

Kind of like his father after a few beers - complete with a glow in the dark earring. How
you doin?

Our fires were tame compared to yours....although Michael gave Uncle Freddy a glow stick that formed a ring so Uncle Freddy had a glow in the dark beer ring. We could see his beer ring all the way down the path!
