Father's Day show
Another parental "holiday", another show! Up at 4:30 for Mom, out of the house by 6am (oops, we were a tad late). At the show by 6:30 to discover the barn was early and Morgan's horse was already there. Accckkk!!! We learned from last time and lunged her for 40 minutes. Which would have been great if we could have groomed her and went right into the ring, but we had to wait for a few classes, and ... well, Misty doesn't wait well. She definitely has horse ADD, and if she's not busy, she gets distracted. Nevertheless, Morgan got her game on and took 7th place out of 16 kids in her first event. Unfortunately, that was the only ribbon she got for today. Morgan was disappointed, but we taped her and we use that to go over things later. Horse shows are totally decided by a judge, and what one judge might like, another may not. Again, a learning experience. Here's a few photos from today (you can double click to enlarge).

She looks beautiful up there on that horse! Dil is cute too, or are we supposed to call them handsome now? Gosh weren't they all just little babes in diapers? Congrats on the ribbon Morgan! I'm sure there are many to come over the next few years.
